Long before California amended the Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act in 1991, Stew Tabak was representing the elderly and their families who received serious (and sometimes fatal) injuries while being cared for in nursing homes, hospitals and other care facilities. For over 20 years, Stew has been trying cases and obtaining favorable jury verdicts and settlements throughout the Central Valley – years before State laws were reformed so as to encourage lawyers to bring such cases on behalf of elderly and dependent adults who were neglected and abused, and who suffered at the hands of their daily caregivers. Some of these cases have included severe burns; decubitus ulcers; falls resulting from neglect and inadequate custodial care; improper feeding; and intentional abuse and mistreatment.
Mr. Tabak has handled these cases with respect, with dignity, and with success.
